Cool, can you start making weapons plz?
NOTE: I would like the weapons to be divided into types like axes, bows, swords; not simple, martial, exotic.

I'll make the armors.

Gold is the only form of currency that I'll use in this game.

Wizards start with 6d4*2
Knights start with 4d4*10
And I'll make some classes too...

But I'm no good at making weapons.

What are you planning on for hit points?

i.e. How many are you planning on for a 1 lvl character to have, on average, and for what type of class?

Then I can figure out what damage dice to use.

Also, are you planning on this to be solely a European Setting, or are you planning on having perhaps had imports from China, Japan, Arabia, or anywhere else? If so, would you like them as an additional option (and thereby kept seperate for the GM to decide if they are available) or almost always available (and thereby on the full weapons list).

Also, if that's the case, there will be some weapons which don't fit into any general category (thier kind of unique).

I can also create a Renassaince weapons table(only the basics), as a variant available for the GM to use, and I would place it on a seperate chart.

Out of Curiosity, is this going to be more of a Fantasy setting (and thereby have magic and it's creatures), a purely Medieval setting (no magic, and more of a realistic setting), or having magic as an optional variant?

I ask because I like magic (I generally play a magic-user of some sort), and was wondering whether you have something planned already, or were open to suggestions for a magic system.

Also, don't be surprised if I don't respond till monday, cause I'll be out of town.

What are you planning on for hit points? Based on class(wizard gets 1d4 per lvl, knight gets 1d8 per lvl, etc.(you have to add con mod * ecl though))

Also, are you planning on this to be solely a European Setting, or are you planning on having perhaps had imports from China, Japan, Arabia, or anywhere else? European setting, with others as optional.

I can also create a Renassaince weapons table(only the basics), as a variant available for the GM to use, and I would place it on a seperate chart.  Sounds good.

Out of Curiosity, is this going to be more of a Fantasy setting (and thereby have magic and it's creatures), a purely Medieval setting (no magic, and more of a realistic setting), or having magic as an optional variant? Magic will always be available to wizards

I ask because I like magic (I generally play a magic-user of some sort), and was wondering whether you have something planned already, or were open to suggestions for a magic system. I'm using an MP system(based on ranks in the spell for wizards, 2 ranks per lvl; 1d10 mp per lvl(+int mod * wizard lvl's))

Also, don't be surprised if I don't respond till monday, cause I'll be out of town. Thats ok, do u understand my format?

Tell me if you like this idea.

You "spend" your experience to get attribute points(1000), feats(750), and skill ranks(600)

You keep spent exp., but each FULL LEVEL you use adds 1/4 to your ECL

The leveling up scheme is the same as in dnd only with 100 instead of 1000

1. So you are using (for at least some of the basics) the D&D system?
(i.e. Feats, ECL, basic attributes, Experience Points-though not necessarily in thier original usage) Smiley

2. I do like the idea of "spending" experience for various abilities. Cool

3. I think I understand most of the format, but I'm not entirely certain as far as what you were planning on for experience-I understand the concept, just no the amounts needed to spend, or the amount/lvl.  :?

Here's an lvl-up table
lvl-xp
1-0
2-100
3-300
4-600
5-1000
6-1500...

You have 2 types of xp: spent and unspent. While you keep the spent, you still can't spent it again.
1-0(+0 ecl)
2-100(+1/4 ecl)
3-300(+1/2 ecl)
4-600(+3/4 ecl)
5-1000(+1 ecl, new class lvl(in addition to other class lvl's from actual lvl-ups))
6-1500(+5/4 ecl)...

Item-cost
attribute points-2000(was 1000 better?)
feats-1000(was 750 better?)
and skill ranks-300(was 600 better?)

Do you get it now?

attribute points-2000(was 1000 better?) 1000 sounds good
feats-1000(was 750 better?) 750 sounds good
and skill ranks-300(was 600 better?) the 300 sounds good

Not entirely sure though, would have to playtest to find out.

Also, thanks for the clarification of the xp situation  Cheesy

Oh, and yes, the knight looks fine, though the AC bonus may be a bit much, and you may want to think of a level where you are considered a "Knight-lord", maybe at 16lvl or so.
